Traditionally, human creations were defined by stable physical matter, like stones. In contrast, the artwork at teamLab Phenomena relies on its environment for existence; it cannot exist alone. The environment produces phenomena, which shape the artwork.

Everyday elements like air, water, and light transform into phenomena within this unique environment, creating a continuous and ambiguous existence.

teamLab is an international art collective whose collaborative practice seeks to navigate the confluence of art, science, technology, and the natural world.

Through art, the interdisciplinary group of artists, programmers, engineers, CG animators, mathematicians, and architects, aims to explore the relationship between the self and the world and new forms of perception.

Today, teamLab has experiences in Tokyo, Jeddah, Beijing, Osaka, Macau, and Singapore, to name just a few destinations. Each location has its own unique concepts and experiences.
